Search for new DMCBH Director begins

The Faculty of Medicine, UBC and the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute invite applications for the position of Director, Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health. This appointment is for an initial term of (5) years with the possibility of renewal, subject to satisfactory review and is expected to be filled by a candidate internal to the University, at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor with tenure. Psychiatry Research Day

The Department of Psychiatry Research Day took place on June 20, 2019. The following are recipients of prizes for talks and posters; for more information and a complete list of award recipients, visit psychiatry.ubc.ca.

  • Dr. Peng Zhang (PI: Dr. Ann Marie Craig) was awarded the 2019 Necia Laura May Elvin Memorial Prize in Schizophrenia Research.
  • Dr. John-Jose Nunez (PI: Dr. Raymond Lam) received the Tsung-Yi Li Award for Clinical Research. 
  • Dr. Yun Zhang (PI: Dr. Weihong Song) received a Department of Psychiatry Research Day Award for best Lightning Talk. 
  • Dr. Nick Weilinger (PI: Dr. Brian MacVicar) was awarded a Zeldowicz Basic Science Poster Award at the Department of Psychiatry Research Day.
